This small combined memorial stone stands in memorial gardens next to the main road through Hebden Bridge.

The memorial gardens were opened in 1938 and this combined memorial was erected by the British Legion on 31st October 2004 and is flanked by 2 flower beds.

metal plaque on the stone has the following inscription.
1914-1918     1939-1945
IN PROUD AND GLORIOUS MEMORY
OF THE
MEN OF THIS DISTRICT
WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE
IN THE TWO WORLD WARS.
THIS TABLET WAS PLACED HERE BY THE
