It's hard to miss the towering monument to Peter Gerner's family at Terrace cemetery. Made by rounded stones gathered from a local ranch, cemented and arranged artistically, this handmade monument was made by Peter Garner himself in 1940 to decorate his family's plot at Terrace cemetery.
Peter Gerner died in 1969, and was buried in the Gerner family plot. Over the decades, his wife, children, and their spouses have joined him.
