Alois Ševcík narozený 28.9.1875 v Knínicích, zemrel 28.8.1930 v lese nad Knínicemi. Vystudoval teologii v Brne a po vysvecení se stal kaplanem v Prímeticích u Znojma. Dále pusobil jako zámecký kaplan u knížat Lichštenjnu ve Velkých Losinách. V roce 1924 odchází k církvi pravoslavné a zastává pozdeji místo presbytera pro Moravu. Alois V. Ševcík byl i literárne cinný, psal clánky, ucebnice a prekládal. Zemrel bohužel na srdecní infarkt na míste pomníku.
Alois Sevcik born 28.9.1875 in Kninice, died 28.8.1930 in the woods about Kninice. Studied theology in Brno after ordination he became a chaplain in Primetice near Znojmo. He also worked as a chaplain at the castle princes Lichstenjn in Velke Losiny. In 1924 he goes to the Orthodox Church and takes place later presbyter for Moravia. Alois V. Sevcik was also literarily active, writing articles, books and translated. Unfortunately, he died of a heart attack at the site of the monument.
