Inserted in the complex of Esporão, the chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Remedies was built by João Mendes de Vasconcelos morgado in the early sixteenth century. Since early this hermitage became the target of intense popular cult in the region, which was observed until the eighteenth century.

The main body of the chapel is preceded by an open rectangular porch for three full arches, built in the eighteenth century. The chapel boasts a structure topped by battlements, military reminiscences, extending a late Gothic style of the Alentejo. The body of the ship, rectangular planning is totally devoid of decoration, displaying the rustic unit of the back wall of the main facade, a covered space for vault from settled edge on corbels of Manueline style, whose keys bearing the Cross of Christ and the shield of arms of the patron. The chancel of quadrangular format and smaller the ship, is also covered with vault of edges, with altar and ornate niche for the patron. This space think up completely covered with murals of lush brutescos ornaments and picture frames that add Marian and Holy Spirit allegories, executed in 1711, possibly by a workshop Évora.
