EN: The Gempenturm ist located on Schartenfluh in the west of Gempen.
Built in 1897, the truss tower is 28 meters high and has five platforms. At the entrance there is a hub that provides entry after the insertion of a 1-franc coin.
From the observation deck at the top, you see Basel and its suburbs, the Alsace, the Vosges and the Black Forest. In very clear days, the Alps.

Der 1897 erbaute Stahlfachwerkturm ist 28 Meter hoch und verfügt über fünf Plattformen. Beim Eingang befindet sich ein Drehkreuz, das mit dem Einwurf einer 1-Franken Münze Zutritt verschafft.
Von der Aussichtsplattform an der Spitze sieht man Basel und seine Vororte, das Elsass, die Vogesen und den Schwarzwald. Bei sehr klarer Sicht auch die Alpen.
