When this bridge was built in 1923 the Texas and Pacific Railroad and still in existence, this bridge. The railroad over the Bankhead Highway.

Today (2015) this bridge carries the Union Pacific through Ranger, and the overpass separates the trains from local street traffic on South Commerce Street.
