The odd thing about this homemade tombstone for Doyle G. Jones in Blue Eye Cemetery is that it is one of two tombstones for him. This one is just a flat stone hand-inscribed with his birth and death dates. Only when I got home and looked him up in FindAGrave did I see the photo in that entry for the beautiful professional tombstone that must have been nearby, with the name of his sons inscribed on the back. Probably this homemade tombstone was made first, and perhaps serves as a foot-stone since the professional stone was made. The name Jones on this stone is wearing away, but was still legible enough for me to read it at this time.
