Edna Ellen Swofford Winkle was the third child of eleven born to Frank I. and Paulina Swofford on 20 November 1906. She married Lester Samuel Winkle on 14 September 1924. She enjoyed making quilts and gardening. Lester passed away in 1983. Edna celebrated her 100th birthday on 20 November 2006, and passed away just under a month later on 14 December 2006.
