The 36th Infantry Division, a federalized unit of the Texas Army National Guard, whose distinctive Arrowhead T patch recalls its heritage as a combined Texas-Oklahoma NG unit from the 19-teens. The 36th Infantry served with outsytanding bravery and distinction in WWI, and in WWII.

A memorial nearby honors the WWI veterans of the 36th Division. This waymarked memorial honors the WWII veterans of the unit.
