ABOUT THE SIGN:

The sign consists of a black wrought iron arm that has a circular sign attached below it. The circular sign features a relief of a hound dog with a flaming torch in its mouth. The letter D is engraved in the sign above the dog's back. Also engraved on the sign is ANNO 1246 at the dog's feet. The following phrase encircles the dog: "Mitte Ainult Leivast" (English: Not by Bread Alone).

ABOUT THE BUILDING:

"Kloostri Ait (in translation Monastery Granary), located in the old medieval granary is a cozy restaurant with wood crackling in the fireplace filling the room with a warm glow.

Firstly have a cup of tea to warm you up and then have the waiters tell you what the specialties of the day are.

On weekend nights there will be beautiful piano and jazz concerts. What could be nicer after a long walk than a warm fireplace, glass of good wine and soft jazz music filling the room?"
