EN: The ruins of Rifenstein Castle are located on a promontory east of Reigoldswil. It is in easy walking distance from Reigoldswil or Titterten. From the ruins significant remains of walls are still visible, some of which, however, come from improper restoration from the 1930s.
From here you have an excellent view over Reigoldswil and the surrounding Jura foothills. The historic village center with the church is located in the left third, the rest of the developed area is mainly from the 20th century.
DE: Die Ruine Rifenstein befindet sich auf einem Felsvorsprung östlich von Reigoldswil. Sie ist zu Fuss von Reigoldswil oder Titterten einfach zu erreichen. Von der Ruine sind noch bedeutende Mauerreste sichtbar, von denen einige allerding von unsachgemässen Restaurierungen aus den 1930er Jahren stammen.
Von hier hat man eine ausgezeichnete Aussicht über Reigoldswil und die umliegenden Juraausläufer. Der historische Dorfkern mit der Kirche befindet sich im linken Drittel der Rest der Überbauungen stammt vorwiegend aus dem 20. Jahrhundert.
