Additional information about these three men follows:

Jakob Albrecht, born 17 February 1827, died 26 March 1897 in Sargans. A journalist, cartoonist and dialect poet, among other things for the "Nebelspalter", the "Post Hiri" and various newspapers.

Josef Anton Henne, known as Anton Henne, born 22 July 1798 in Sargans, died 22 November 1870 in Wolfhalden, Appenzell. Was a Swiss historian and politician active during the formative phase of the modern Swiss state. In 1828, he published the first volume of a popular History of Switzerland (covering the period up to 1400). The second and third volumes of his History of Switzerland appeared in 1834 and 1835. He published two volumes of a planned world history in nine volumes in 1845.

Werner Manz, also from Sargans, wrote Volksbrauch und Volksglaube des Sarganserlandes (about folk customs and folk beliefs of the Sarganserland) in: Writings of the Swiss Society of Ethnography, Basel, Volume 12, (1916), as well as Beiträge zur Ethnographie des Sarganserlandes (Contributions to the Ethnography of the Sarganserland) in: Annual Reports of the Geographical-Ethnographical Society in Zurich, Volume 13 (1912-1913).
