The clock on the cupola of the San Saba County Courthouse downtown has been keeping time for the citizens since it opened in 1911.

The courthouse is built in the Neo-Classical style more common in Virginia, but that's what makes it unique and, in our opinion, awesome.

The 4-sided clock tower dominates the square. The tower is octagonal, with flat rectangular sides painted white. The round clock faces are also white, lined o the outside edge with a thin band showing the minutes. The clock is faced with classic Roman numerals and ornate solid hands. The clocks are all working.
