The site that includes the building with this sign may date to, or predate, World War II. It has been noted on an aerial photograph taken in 1949. At that time the complex of buildings was just off a small dirt road surrounded by miles of farm fields. The buildings are located next to a railroad track and may have been a point for loading crops on to the railroad. The sign is located on a building at the back of the lot. On either side of the building are covered concrete pads. The sign forlornly beckons long gone truckers to stop for tires.
