English :
Thousands of cruise passengers pass each year by the Iberville Passenger Terminal of the Port of Montreal. Many shipping lines offer cruises on the St. Lawrence and the North American east coast, leaving the Old Port. The route between New York and Montreal is one of the most popular. The St. Lawrence offers cruise passengers steep and wooded banks, rustic fishing villages and migrating whales, as well as stops in major North American cities.

October 2017 update :
In November 2015, the Montreal Port Authority began preparatory work for the rehabilitation of Alexandra Pier and Iberville Passenger Terminal. Despite significant maintenance investments over the last decade, these more than 100-year-old infrastructures, located in the heart of Old Montréal, showed marked signs of aging and operational obsolescence, which compromised their ability to continue rendering the services expected. This project, carried out by the MPA as part of its three-year investment program for 2015-2017, is estimated at $ 78 million.
