The Truro Armouries are located on Willow Street, not far from downtown Truro.

The building was constructed in 1874, and has been in continuous use as the armouries for a succession of militia and Army Reserve units.

It is currently home to the 1st Battalion, The Nova Scotia Highlanders (North), a reserve infantry unit of the Canadian Army.

The Armouries were added to the Canadian Register of Historic Places on 21 Feb 2006. That link may be found here: (visit link)

General Comments:
Although access is on public land, the interior of the armouries and the associated storage compounds are controlled by the Department of National Defence. Do not attempt to enter either area without permission and escort.
