Junction is a lovely and historic Texas town on the Llano River, on the edge of the Texas Hill Country.
Lake Junction is the centerpiece of Shreiner Park downtown. Lake Junction is formed by a concrete dam that impounds some of the waters of the Llano River, while still allowing the river to flow downstream through an uncontrolled spillway.
