The Taree War Memorial is in the form of a clock tower made from rock faced granite. Originally this was built in 1925 in a another position - the corner of Manning St and the Pacific Highway.

It was moved in 1966, and now is in Fotheringham Park, on Victoria Street.
A Latin Cross is recessed into the four stone faces of the memorial with a clock fixed to the center of these crosses. There are no numerals for the hour segments of the clock.
