The Second Baptist Church was organized in 1828. At the time it was also known as the Paris and Woodstock Church because it served both communities. The church was built in 1833 by the Baptists and Methodists according to the History of Paris, Maine co authored by William Berry Laphan and Silas P Maxim.

The church today does not look like it is in use.
