Simple embossed black granite memorial dedicated to those air and ground crews dedicated to Search and Recue in Canada.
The monument, atop a white granite base pays tribute to the three Joint Rescue Coordination Centres in Canada and uses the motto of Canada's Air Force Search and Rescue Technicians - "That Others May Live".
The three Units are all combination Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Air Force Joint Rescue Coordination Centres. Each are manned 24 hours a day by crews consisting of Coast Guard and Air Force personnel.

Description of Memorial: Memorial is located on the Slemon Air Park grounds just east of Argus 739. 413 Squadron,now based in CFB Greenwood, NS, for years flew SAR missions from CFB Summerside using primarily C130 Hercules and C115 Buffalo aircraft.
