This zinc tombstone must have been very well appointed in the day, a fitting tribute to a well-loved young wife.

Nearly 100 years later, her grave is misshapen and it looks like part of it has been removed. A small tree sapling grows in the bare center of her grave, probably a forgotten acorn buried by a squirrel. Her grave is lined with a zinc border that has not stood up to the test of time.

The effect of this obvious deterioration (and dare we even say, neglect) is heartbreaking, especially given her epitaph: "Forget Me Not"
