USGS 'BM 4086.1' BM - Siskiyou County, CA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Geological Survey benchmark in good condition. This mark is a standard aluminum disk monumented on top of a 4-foot by 4-foot circular low-lying boulder that projects about 12 inches above the ground. the boulder is located about 50 feet east of Sheepy Creek Rd and about 50 feet SE of telephone pole C7494. I would assume this benchmark was monumented in either 1905 or 1908 based off other USGS disks I've recovered like this one in the general area. This disk does not appear in the NGS database but is listed on a topography map as 'BM 4086.1' My posted coordinates should place you very close to this mark.
