These two boats are located at the road next to the hospital of Laufenburg
The boat is of the type "Weidling", a traditional type in the north of Switzerland that dates back to Celtic times. They are a bit similar to punts in England but much larger and more stable; usually they are driven by stakes and large rows by two man standing in the bow and the tail. This one is about 9 meters long.
It is very common for them to end up as flower pots or on children's playgrounds when they are taken out of service.
