Electricity substation No 2 is a two storey red brick building with stucco detailing, constructed in 1914 in the Federation Warehouse style. Four substations were constructed by Perth City Council to operate as the main line substations in conjunction with the State Government’s East Perth Power Station (1916), It was used as an electricity substation until new technology made it obsolete. It is of the same design as Nos 3 and 4 substations, however the windows have been bricked in as has the balcony.
Creation date: 1914
