I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey BM from 1954 in good condition. It is embedded in a low-lying lava rock boulder. The NGS datasheet is adequate for station recovery with the exception that there are no longer any telephone poles in the area. This station appears on a topography map as 'BM 4717'. The NGS coordinates are off but my more accurate posted coordinates should place you very close to this mark.
