This Victorian post box is located on the north west side of Church Lane, outside the entrance to St Mary's churchyard, in Walthamstow.

The box is freshly painted but this has been done over corroded areas so the paint is starting to lift. The box is not in use as the "mouth" is blocked and there is no "collection time" sheet.
Tell us about the area the post box is situated.:
The box is in a very nice area of Walthamstow outside a pleasant, church and churchyard and opposite what is believed to be the oldest house in London.
