This simple grey granite panel marker commemorates the service and sacrifice of those veterans from Edwards County, Texas, who died in World Wars I and II.
The memorial is composed of a single rectangular block of grey granite divided into 4 sections, a wider base of gray granite over a concrete pad. Each section of the rectangle features one of the four US Armed forces service emblems: Army, Navy, Marines, and Army Air Corps. Each section contains a detailed entry for that service’s veteran from Edwards county who died in WWI or WWII. Each entry also lists their units, dates of birth and death, circumstances of death, and place of burial.
[on the base]
