A somber polished black granite monument in a place of pride at the entrance to the Real County courthouse in downtown Leakey remembers the sacrifies of those men from Real County Texas who were Killed in Action, who Died of their Wounds, who were marked Missing in Action, or who were taken as Prisoners of War.
The memorial text reads as follows:
