The historical marker is located to the left of the church's entrance and reads:

TURAIDA CHURCH

Built for Turaida Evangelical Lutheran Parish in 1750. It is one of the oldest wooden churches in Latvia. The Church was not essentially rebuilt and has preserved on its original site. The altar and pulpit were built in 1751.

Turaida Church is located in the territory of Specially Protected Cultural Monument -- Turaida Museum Reserve. Artistically architectonic investigation and restoration of the building were performed from 2006 until 2009.
