"The sculpture of the painter Pablo Picasso, located in Malaga (Andalusia, Spain) dedicated to the famous malagueño painter and sculptor Pablo Ruiz Picasso was made of bronze by Francisco Lopez Hernandez and represents the artist sitting on a marble bench with a notebook and a pencil. It was inaugurated on December 5, 2008.

The work is in the Plaza de la Merced of the downtown district, opposite the birthplace of Picasso, Picasso Foundation headquarters. The proportion of the figure is slightly higher with respect to the actual height of Picasso."
