The second of two grey granite police memorials that stand proudly in front of the Texas Department of Public Safety office, located one block south of the I-10 on Monterey Street in Ozona.
This memorial recalls the sacrifice of Texas Ranger Clarence Nordyke, who lost his life in the line of duty.
The memorial reads as follows:
"We the people of the State of Texas acknowledge and thank Corporal Willie Dale Taylor for the great sacrifice he made to keep the public safe. His efforts will stand the test of time. May God bless his soul. May 19, 1990."

Sergeant Nordyke had been with the agency for 13 years."
