Taree's World War One Memorial was unveiled 6 June, 1925, by Major General Cox, in the middle of the intersection of (now) Victoria and Manning Streets, Taree. It was moved in 1966 to the Fotheringham Park, where it is today.

At the moment there is not much available on the process of how the move was made of the Memorial Clock. So will "keep digging".
Various historic photos show the memorial right in the middle of what would have been the 'Pacific Highway', when it ran through Taree.
