On the grounds of Corning Glass Works there is a statue honoring the gaffer. A life-sized bronze statue of the artisan is depicted sitting on a gaffer's workbench with his right leg outstretched. The workbench has long armrests and glass blowing tools placed on the right side. The gaffer is wearing overalls a shirt with rolled up sleeves as he is blowing through a long tube with a glob of molten glass at the end. He supports the glass blowing tube with the right armrest and his extended right hand. His left hand is placed near the top of the tube.
The sculpture is placed on a rectangular area covered with paving stones. A similar unoccupied bronze workbench is set on the far side of the sculpture. A slate plaque a ground level is inscribed:
