The Anthony Creek Trail is 3.6 miles long, stretching from the Cades Cove Picnic Area to the upper portion of the Bote Mountain Trail. Soon after leaving the Picnic Area, the trail runs by the three campsites of the horse camp near the area where the Crib Gap Trail branches off to the left (WMF8MH). From there, the trail climbs 1.6 miles to where the Russell Field Trail starts on the right. After this, the trail winds a little over a mile to Campsite #9 and ends at the Bote Mountain Trail 1.9 miles from the Russell Field Trail. From there it is another 1.7 miles on the Bote Mountain Trail to the Appalachian Trail.

The lower half of the Anthony Creek Trail is somewhat rocky, not big rocks, just the football-size and smaller that can make walking difficult. It is downhill all the way to the Picnic Area from this trailhead.

The closest parking to this trailhead is in the picnic area.
