The station consists of 3 structures, a stone light tower, keeper's quarters and a red brick bell tower. The light house is 34 feet high. The keeper's house is constructed of wood and built in 1857. In 1940 the Coast Guard transferred the 7 acre site to the town of Bristol, except for the light tower itself. The keeper's house is now the Fishermen's Museum.
