Houston Avenue Irrigation Canal Benchmark - Gilbert, Arizona - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

The Salt River Valley Water Users Association uses this benchmark to note a head gate controlling water flow to an irrigation ditch off the Eastern Canal. This metal disk, over painted, is embedded in the concrete of the head gate. Across the top of the disk is stamped Engineering Dept. Across the bottom is S.R.V.W.U.A. Again under the top lettering is Benchmark. Through the middle is Elev. Location. The benchmark is approximately 237.29 feet southwest of the southwestern edge of Houston Avenue on a bearing of 211.23 degrees.
