This impressive fountain was a gift to Elmira College from the classes of 1951 and 2001. The bottom of the fountain is a 40' diameter octagonal basin. Rising from the basin are stacked a larger and a smaller ornate cylinders with repeating rectangular flower motifs giving the fountain the appearance of a wedding cake. In the center of the top cylinder the female form of an angel stands with her right leg bent up and both hands above her head. Water jets shoot water up from the rim of the lower cylinder towards the angel. The water then cascades down into the basin below.
