Moving around the sculpture the viewer is presented with images evoking both the people and the various occupations that predominated in Chandler's pioneer past. The list of family names include Chandler, Rosales, Navarrete, Barnette, Skousen, Griffith, Hamilton, Martinez and Aguilar. The piece was presented by the Rosales family. The artist is Emanuel Martinez and it was commissioned in 2003. A plaque in front of the sculpture gives the name of the sculpture and the artist. It indicates that the piece was purchased by the City of Chandler and the Chandler Arts Commission in 2003.
