In Barre, within Hope Cemetery, is this monument for the Fukuda family, which has a quote from Robert Frost's poem, 'The Road not Taken.'
The cemetery is located just outside of the city, and on the west side of Vermont Highway 14. The marker is in the south end of the cemetery, on the west side of a road and on the edge of the clearing.
The monument is rectangular with a sloped top. The name of the family is at the top. On the long side is an etching of a tree. At the north end is the following quote from the poem:
"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
and sorry I could not travel both...
Yet knowing how way leads on in way
I doubted if I should ever come back...
and I, I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference.
Robert Frost"
