Designed by Mann & MacNeille of New York City for the Bailey Island Library Association. At the time Bailey Island was a mixture of year round and summer residents and was built as a social hall and lending library. The design had strong influences of George Washington's Mount Vernon. Today it no longer serves as a library but continues it use as a social hall for functions.
