Der Gipfel wird umringt von Hochferner (3463m) und Hochfeiler (3510m) im Südosten, dem Olperer (3476m) im Norden und dem Schrammacher (3410m) im Nordwesten. Den Hintertuxer Kamm im Norden kann man noch gut erkennen, und man hat einen wunderbaren Blick ins Pfitscher Tal im Westen bis nach St. Jakob.

Eine mögliche Tour geht von St. Jakob aus über das besagte Pfitschertal hoch am Pfitscherjoch-Haus vorbei und den Kamm entlang bis zur Spitze. Oder aber von österreichischer Seite aus über den Parkplatz am Schlegeisspeicher hoch.


[EN]The Rotbachlspitze, that rises almost 3000 meters, is located in the midst of the Zillertal Alps, directly on the austrian-italian Border.

The summit is surrounded by Hochferner (11.461ft.)and Hochfeiler (11.516ft.) in the southeast, the Olperer (11.404ft.) the north and the Schrammacher (11.188ft.) in the northwest. The Hintertux ridge to the north you can still see well, and you have a wonderful view into the Pfitscher Valley in the west almost to St. Jakob.

A possible Tour goes from St. Jakob through the Pfitscher Valley up to the Pfitscherjoch-Haus and further along the ridge to the top. Another Tour starts from the austrian side, at the parking at the Schlegeis reservoir.
