There is a directional sign on the highway indicating a photo opportunity ahead. The Alberta farmlands and the Rocky Mountains as a backdrop encourages one to stop and enjoy the view. Sorry no roses were there when we stopped.

We visited Waterton Lakes National Park, about 55 km south of this viewpoint, and were making our way north to Pincher Creek.

Located in the Southwestern edge of Alberta, the Rocky Mountains are perhaps the best known and most well visited of Alberta's six natural regions. The Rocky Mountains comprise 8 percent of the province.
