At the point of location of this benchmark, the Western Canal comes into the open again after being piped under Price Road and the 101 Freeway. The benchmark is embedded in the concrete of a flow control gate on the Northern side of the canal West of Price Road. Across the top of the disk is stamped Salt River Project. Below that is 23.9 E and 1.5 S. Underneath that is 94 with BM on the lower rim. The mark is 32.96 feet South of the southern edge of the sidewalk of the Western Canal Path sidewalk at an angle of 177.40 degrees and 408.28 feet West of the western edge of the Price Road sidewalk on an angle of 268.67 degrees.
