This gigantic car part sculpture is bringing visitors from all over the state. When the sculpture was first placed, there were huge crowds around Optimus Prime at all hours of the day and even late at night. In the evening the transformer is lit up (the eyes glow). A smaller-scale Bumblebee transformer is located at the west side G & M Body Shop.
Text on plaque reads:

How tall is it? 22 Feet
How much does it weigh? Approx 5700 lbs.
What is it made from? Recycled auto & motorcycle parts, metal shelving and various household appliance pieces.
Who made it and how long did it take? The creators in Thailand spent about 4 months building the structure. After 3 months in transit it arrived in Stillwater. Upon delivery, the owner of G & M was not happy with the quality of the work. He went on to spent almost a year dismantling, re-welding, reinforcing, re-fabricating & refinishing the structure to his standards, before putting it back to(sic) together.
How long will it be up/ It is now a permanent fixture.
Does it move, or will it eventually? Not at this time, but we have not ruled the idea out.
What type of paint is on it? Waterborne Automotive
How much did it cost? Too much.
