A white granite memorial placed on the grounds of the Parson's Mountain recreational center. A nice area with a swimming area, grassed beach, picnic tables, nearby camping, and a nice trail nearby to the top of Parson's mountain.

This Parson's Mountain
Recreation Center is
Dedicated to the Memory of
the Men of Abbeville County,
Who Gave Their Lives in World
War II, 1941 — 1945, for the
Freedom of Mankind.

**A FEE OF 3 DOLLARS IS REQUIRED TO ENTER THE AREA AND USE THE FACILITIES**

Access instructions: From Abbeville, go south about 8 miles on Rt 28, make left on Parsons Mountain road, then about a mile make a right to Campground Road. Brown markers at Parsons Mountain Road will point the way.
