The AGT Building is located at the corner of 23rd Street and 2nd Avenue. Interestingly there is an old phone booth in front of the building.

When in Fort Macleod we noticed a red phone booth in front of the AGT building. The building is well preserved and for the past 5 years it is being used by Telus as an office.
There is a small plaque attached to the front fence.

A little history of the AGT:
Alberta Government Telephones was the telephone provider in most of Alberta from 1906 to 1991.
It was formed by the Liberal government of Alexander Cameron Rutherford in 1906 following the acquisitions by the government of several independent telephone companies. In 1908, AGT acquired the Bell Telephone Company's Alberta operations.
Before the end of the 1908, Alberta Government Telephones (AGT), strung Line No. 95 between Macleod and Lethbridge.
