The zinc monument has been affected a little over time. It is too good a birds perch and what they leave behind has stained it quite a bit. The monument is also marked with dark spots pretty much all around and mostly on parts that are facing skyward.

The embossed writing, typical to zinc monuments, is very easy to read. Here is the text that can be found on the front of the monument :

AGED 34 YEARS.
