This old millstone is on display next to the entrance of the Upper Mill in Oltingen, one of two former mills in town.
The mill dates back to at least the early 13th century as a saw mill, around the 15th century it was extended with a flour mill without abandoning the saw part. It is not documented when it stopped operation.
