This plaque is dedicated to Company F of the 92nd Illinois Infantry Regiment during the assault on Craven's House on Nov. 24, 1863 during the Battle of Lookout Mountain , fought November 24, 1863. This Battle was part of the Chattanooga Campaign and is preserved and maintained as part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. This marker is located at the Cravens House, on Cravens Terrace, Lookout Mountain, TN.

Parking is available in the National Park Service parking lot on Cravens Terrace, Lookout Mountain, TN, at N 35° 0.8411 W 85° 20.4701

Short Physical Description

2'6" x 1'2" x 2'6" high rectangular slab of dark Quincy granite. Rock-faced sides; polished & inscribed front. "Illinois" is in large raised letters on beveled top. Marks unit's position during the Battle of Lookout Mountain
