The sundial sits on a white pedestal. Not sure what type of metal the sundial is made of.
There is a saying ont the sun dial and it reads:
"THE MOVING FINGER WRITES; HAVING WRIT
MOVES ON: NOR ALL YOUR PIETY NOR WIT
SHALL LURE IT BACK TO CHANGE HALF A LINE
NOR ALL YOUR TEARS WASH OUT A WORD OF IT"
